A New Beginning
Our multi-national client is a world leader in high-tech engineering with around 17,500 employees across the globe, supplying governments and major commercial customers. Following changes in ownership, leadership and corporate structure, the new management team wanted to begin the new era with a greater focus on the role and value of the people in the business; a new way of working that emphasises respect, openness, personal ownership and a collective commitment to supporting and developing each other and the business.
Crafting a story that everyone can believe in

With the new strategy and supporting values agreed, GNIUS developed a ‘core narrative’, setting out the need for change and the vision for the future – how the new culture would improve life for the business, their customers and the communities they worked in.
We helped define each of the values, what they would mean in practice and what behaviours would be needed at an individual, team and business level.
Asking the whole business what they would like to see
The narrative was road tested with a management survey and a series of focus groups involving over 1,000 staff at all levels of the business, in sites in UK, Sweden, Holland, USA and China.
GNIUS developed and administered the survey, wrote the focus group script, created support collateral and ran some of the sessions. We collated the research findings, conducted the analysis and reported back with narrative updates and a detailed communications and engagement plan.
Engaging the Whole Organisation in the culture change
With the story in place, our exciting plans to engage the whole organisation included an immersive Leadership event, a rolling global roadshow and some new behaviour activities that would involve all 17,500 employees at the same time!
